the parts are almost done being Manufactured, and since we already blew through our unofficial deadline like it didn’t exist (which is kind of true) we figured we might as well make the robot look good and give it a good paint job before its assembled. and heres where your choice becomes important: We have rendered 6 different possible colors for the robot. The outside we’ve already decided to paint black, but the rest is up to you, help us out and vote below, heres your choices:

Blue

Black

Green

Orange

Red

White

Purple

Pink

So i know i haven’t posted anything for a while, this is mainly because the Netbot design is basically done, now we’re just waiting to get the parts cut, The main electronics and motors have already been ordered as well as the hardware. The parts should be cut within the next two weeks and final construction shouldn’t take very long once we have the all the materials cut and bent, so stay tuned for some actual photographs of this thing coming soon!

ever looked for a 3D CAD model of the Arduino? you probably didn’t find much, i never found a perfectly accurate one, so i downloaded the most accurate one i could find, converted it to Inventor and fixed it up, for those who like CADing before hacking, here is the Arduino Uno in 3D (with all major components and proper mounting hole locations):

After about a year since we began work on the project, we’ve finally gotten to the point of ordering the parts for the prototype. we hope to have the entire robot up and running in time to attend the Tampabay Minimaker Faire.
